Emergency Water Damage Restoration in New Mexico

Our mold remediation involves sealing off the affected area with plastic sheeting, establishing negative air pressure with HEPA scrubbers, safely removing contaminated materials, and applying antimicrobial treatments to prevent future growth.

It depends on the category of water (clean vs. contaminated) and how long it has been sitting. If addressed quickly, we can often save hardwood floors using specialized drying mats and extract water from carpets to prevent permanent damage.

Signs of hidden mold include a musty odor, unexplained allergy symptoms, or peeling paint and discoloration on walls. We use thermal imaging and moisture meters during our mold remediation inspections to locate hidden moisture without unnecessary demolition.

Most standard homeowners insurance policies cover sudden and accidental water damage (like a burst pipe). Prime Water Damage Restoration has extensive experience working directly with insurance adjusters in New Mexico to help streamline your claim process.

Bleach only kills surface mold on non-porous materials. On porous surfaces like drywall or wood, bleach does not reach the roots, and the water in bleach can actually feed the mold. True mold remediation requires professional antimicrobial treatments and removal of the affected materials.
